Toy Story Recipes - Jessie Cookie Hats

Before beginning, you’ll need to prepare a few things to ensure that this goes smoothly with no issues. Below is a list of the things you’ll need prior to making these Jessie Hat Cookies from Toy Story 3. Remember, when baking you’ll need to be patient or else things may start going wrong.

Toy Story Recipes – What You’ll Need:

a Tray, a baking sheet Waxed Paper, red gumdrops, red icing, white piping icing, Chilled Sugar Cookie Dough (homemade or store bought), general purpose Flour, a rolling pin, 2-pinch round cookie cutter (you could potentially use the rim of a cup for this), and spatula.

Once you have secured the above items you are ready to begin your Jessie Hat Cookies as part of your new collection of Toy Story Recipes.

Toy Story Recipes – Instructions

  1. You’ll want to cover a tray with the waxed paper and set it aside for now.
  2. Roll out the sugar cookie dough between the sheets of flour-dusted waxed paper to about 1/5-inch or 1/4-inch thickness. These will rise while in the oven.
  3. Use your cookie cutter or glass rim to cut out the cookies and place them on the wax paper that is on the tray.
  4. Stick the tray into the fridge to chill the cookies for 10-15 minutes.
  5. During this time, preheat your oven to about 300-350 degrees. (this of course is dependent on the sugar cookie recipe)
  6. Move the cookies from the the fridge to a baking sheet.
  7. Depending on the oven, it may vary on how long these Jessie Hat Cookies will need to be in.
  8. Once they are starting to golden a bit, take them out and turn the cookies upside down so the flat surfaces are facing up.
  9. Frost them with red icing.
  10. Set aside and let the icing cool down and set.
  11. Slice off the domed top of a red gumdrop. These will be used at the top of each hat.
  12. Grab some white piping icing in a decorating tool and and put some on the bottom of the gumdrop.
  13. Gently place the gumdrop and secure it to the center of the cookie so the icing spreads out. This will resemble a white hatband as you can see in the picture above.
  14. Carefully pipe the icing around the circumference of the hat, then pipe short cross-hatch lines along the opposite way to resemble lacing.
